Never Waver

December 21, 20252 min read

Encouragement from dear friends compelled me to write another song. Although my first song, Place of Love, came to me without effort, I know that it came from my deep connection to my spirit and my soul, which is always there.

This morning, after a deep reflection and request for a song about the winter solstice, I wrote and wrote, then developed a song from the words. It took more effort than Place of Love. This is ok, because I loved the process. It sparked my creativity and my love of how words can work together to express meaning and sound beautiful at the same time.

Enjoy this rendition of my new song for the Winter Solstice, which is today.

Never Waver - Original Lyrics with music and vocals by Suno.com

Never Waver

As the sun sleeps in winter

I live with the dark and cold of earth

The darkness holds gloom and loss of hope

And I’ve lost my footing

I know that the dark is fleeting

The sun is always shining

Yet in my heart I feel like I’m climbing

Endlessly…

The days will get longer

The dark makes us stronger

The true light is in me

I’ll never waver

I belong here

Never waver

You belong here

The light, the hope

The light, the hope

We are light we are love

As we shine our own light outward

We leave the darkness behind

Embrace the dark

It gives us rest

Embrace the dark

And take a deep breath

Breathe in the darkness

Love the time for reflection

Breathe in the darkness

And find a new direction

This is the time to start anew

To begin again

And change the view

I’ll never waver

I belong here

Never waver

You belong here

The light, the hope

The light, the hope

We are light we are love

As we shine our own light outward

We leave the darkness behind

We are light we are love as we shine our own light outward

We leave the darkness behind

Embrace the dark

It gives us rest

Embrace the dark

And take a deep breath

This is the time to start anew

To begin again
